Hospice/Euthanasia

Anyone who has ever had a pet has felt their love during their lives, as well as the sense of loss when their time with you comes to an end. Unfortunately, no matter how much we love and care for our precious pets, their time with us is limited. At Gulf Coast Veterinary Hospital, we have been there through the life of your beloved pet, and with our hospice and euthanasia service, we will be there when their time draws to a close as well.

The hospice service at Gulf Coast Veterinary Hospital provides care for terminally ill pets that still have a quality of life. Our compassionate veterinarians will determine your beloved pet’s overall condition, probable pain levels, and general ability to continue to enjoy life. Blood work will be performed in our clinic laboratory, vital signs will be monitored, and preventative pain medication will be administered as needed.

When our caring veterinarians determine it is time to let go of your pet companion, our hospital will treat you both with compassion and dignity. Our hospital has medications chosen explicitly by our veterinarian to allow your pet to pass without any pain or suffering.

If you feel your pet may be nearing the end of their time with you, please schedule an appointment to have them evaluated by Dr. Brown. Gulf Coast Veterinary Hospital proudly serves the veterinary needs of the pets in the Baldwin County area of Alabama, and we are here to care for your precious pet regardless of their current age or condition.

At Gulf Coast Veterinary Hospital, we strive to give your pet the best care possible to ensure they leave happy and healthy after each visit.
